Field Operations

The mission of Field Operations Department is to ensure and promote fairness and consistency in the workplace as well as provide customer service and guidance to upper management, employees and applicants with employment related inquiries.

Field Operations consists of three functional areas:


Regions

There are seven TDCJ human resources regions located throughout the state. Six of these correspond geographically with the Correctional Institutional Division (CID) regions. The seventh HR region includes all Parole locations and Austin administrative offices. Each HR region includes a regional HR coordinator who provides technical oversight, supervision, and coordination of all HR functions within the region. The names and addresses for the HR coordinators are provided in the table below.

Departments

In addition to unit-based staff, field operations representatives also provide support to division management and employees in administrative roles across the agency. Our representatives assist staff with:

  • Support services and procedural processes
  • Guidance related to time, leaves and benefits
  • Acts as a liaison between staff and payroll.
