Pretrial, Probation, and Parole Supervision Week, July 20-26, 2025
July 18, 2025
Each year across the United States, we dedicate a week to recognize pretrial, probation, and parole supervision professionals and the work they do. The week of July 20-26, 2025, is an opportunity to honor those who put forth tireless efforts and countless hours towards public safety by making a difference in the lives of probationers, parolees, their families, victims, and the community.

Pretrial, probation and parole officers uphold the laws of our country and do so with dignity and respect. Their work involves building strong relationships within the law enforcement community, the reentry community and partners, victim advocates, families and many others who support the community supervision population but also expect accountability. The bar is set high for these professionals who fulfill a multitude of responsibilities including conducting investigations, maintaining supervision, identifying and utilizing available resources, and working countless hours to meet the individual needs of those on supervision in our communities. The work of supervision professionals comes with risk; it is the awareness of risk and the wisdom to not become complacent that allows supervision professionals to be the most effective.
Please take the time during the week of July 20-26, 2025, to acknowledge those individuals who are committed to the field of community corrections in the great state of Texas. They are an incredible class of individuals who make a difference each day and are a key component to our agency’s success.
