Services Offered: An Internet-friendly mentoring program for select students in the Dallas ISD. Students in the Advancement via Independent Determination (AVID) program receive mentoring services from DBA attorneys and other Dallas legal and professional volunteers as they pursue their goal of being the first in their family to graduate from college.

Services Offered: DOORS is a 501c3 organization that, as a "Reentry Connector and Collaborator", is committed to reducing recidivism in our community by two means:

  • serving as a "Reentry Advocate" for formerly incarcerated persons (FIPS) by doing a risk assessment of their criminogenic needs, sending them to "expert" providers for service of those needs, and monitoring them as they work through their service plan for a period of up to four (4) years; and
  • serving as a "Reentry Educator and Trainer" for FIPS' families, service providers and the public, by offering symposiums, seminars, workshops and trainings so that each have the tools at their disposal necessary to effectively work, service and relate to this very special population.
