Karen Hall has been selected as TDCJ’s Deputy Chief of Staff, effective July 1.
Hall has more than 20 years of experience with the agency, including 15 years as a supervisor. She began her career in 1998 as an administrative assistant in the Internal Affairs Division. In 1999, she joined Executive Services as an administrative technician and since that time has held nearly every position in the department, including technical writer, program specialist and manager of Executive Services.
Hall has a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice and a Master of Science degree in criminal justice leadership from Sam Houston State University.
TDCJ Chief of Staff Jason Clark commended Hall’s selection, saying “Please join me in congratulating Karen and offer her your support as she assumes this new leadership role. Her background and valuable experience will continue to benefit TDCJ as we move forward.”
